Note the tearing in the image on the right door when the camera passes too close and the angle is too great to match up..
By giving the camera projection UVW coordinates (ie. sticking the texture to the polygons) the door polygons can be tweaked to pull the wood texture back into the frame so it covers it even when the camera passes. Probably not the most technically accurate way to do this but it gives extra leeway when animating the camera so I'm not restricted by the image tearing off the geometry.
